Indeed, European Union law includes the rules upon which the European Union (EU) is founded.
This encompasses all substantive and procedural norms applicable within the European Union.
The distinctive feature of EU law is that it constitutes a legal system of its own, integrated into the legal systems of the Member States.
The Court of Justice of the European Union, based in Luxembourg, ensures the application of EU law. This source is theoretically subsidiary.
Indeed, the legislative competence of the EU must respect the principle of subsidiarity.

EU Litigation
Our firm has extensive experience in litigation before the General Court and the Court of Justice of the European Union across a wide range of areas governed by EU law.
We represent our clients both before the General Court (actions for annulment, failure to act, claims for damages caused by EU institutions or bodies) and before the Court of Justice in preliminary ruling procedures referred by national courts or in appeals against decisions of the General Court.

Additionally, we provide assistance before national courts (administrative, civil, tax, accounting), including courts of last instance, or before national administrative authorities (including customs or tax authorities), when the correct interpretation or application of EU law is at stake.

We are often pleased to support other lawyers in developing and asserting before authorities or national courts any grounds and arguments based on EU law.
